Preparing to serve at Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022
Located in the Himalayan sub-valley in Jammu and Kashmir, India, the Amarnath Holy Cave is home to the Shiva Lingam, revered by Hindus as the physical manifestation of Lord Shiva. At an altitude of 3,888 meters, the cave is covered in snow most of the year. In summer, the cave is open to pilgrims. The annual pilgrimage, Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, occurs from July to August, during which devotees and pilgrims visit the Amarnath Holy Cave to pay reverence to Lord Shiva in the form of an iced stalagmite Shiva Lingam.
The annual pilgrimage was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On learning that the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrimage would resume in 2022, Sant Baljit Singh Ji motivated Vishav Manav Ruhani Kendra (VMRK) to serve the pilgrims and devotees visiting the cave.
Selfless service and devotion toward God and His creation continues forever, as devotion cannot be measured nor can devotional actions be counted. True devotion, without ego, is never for one’s personal benefit but is for the benefit of the less fortunate and those needing our help.

VMRK promptly submitted an application to send a team of doctors, paramedical staff, fully equipped ambulances, and drivers to serve at the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2022. VMRK is grateful for the opportunity to serve the devotees and pilgrims visiting the Amarnath Holy Cave.
Immediately, VMRK volunteers swung into action and began purchasing and organizing the medical supplies needed. Teams packed the medical supplies and equipment into boxes. Each box was methodically and clearly labeled to list the contents. After the packing was completed, the boxes were carefully loaded into the ambulances.
